Some things...

There are some things that I want to blog about, but I don't necessarily do it right away. This is not because they are insignificant things. On the contrary, they are usually very significant things, which means I have a lot of pictures of said significant things. Pictures take a long time to upload, so I procrastinate. Then a new year arrives, and all of those significant things from the past year that I want to blog about start flooding my brain until my head explodes...

Thing # 1

In October, my best bud Becky "Bopper" Bolster got married to Levi Lundell from Arizona on October 7, 2010! The wedding was everything lovely, praiseworthy, and of good report. It was such a great time, and they make a wonderful unit. I am so elated for ju two and love you so much!

Bex was absolutely stunning, and they wowed everyone on the dance floor (I stole this picture from her Facebook profile)

"Um..Erin, the zipper is snagging my hair.."
"Don't worry about it, Bex, just smile for the camera."

Apparently fish tacos make me crazy. This was at The Cove in San Antonio--just so we're clear, they don't kill dolphins here.

Oliver would do anything for Selenas.

"What? Adam doesn't like Texas BBQ? Really?!"
The day after the wedding was my birthday. We spent it playing at the beach. Margy is looking out for dogs pooping in the water. Adam is stubbornly refusing to like Rudy's BBQ. I'm not sure what Oliver is doing... It's great to spend birthdays with friends.

Levi and Becky "go big or go home", even when  it comes to cutting the cake.
Adam and I both wanted to document Oliver's first bite.

"In a perfect Friendship this Appreciative love is, I think, often so great and so firmly based that each member of the circle feels, in his secret heart, humbled before all the rest. Sometimes he wonders what he is doing there among his betters. He is lucky beyond desert to be in such company. Especially when the whole group is together, each bringing out all that is best, wisest, or funniest in all the others. Those are the golden sessions...when the whole world, opens itself to our minds as we talk; and no one has any claim on or any responsibility for another, but all are freemen and equals as if we had first met an hour ago, while at the same time an Affection mellowed by the years enfolds us. Life--natural life--has no better gift to give. Who could have deserved it?"

I'm happy you remember my wedding as fondly as I do. What fabulous friends I have. You two made perfect characters in my fairytale that weekend.
